Anti-doping

Thanks to its educational role model function, sport plays a central role in our society. It not only plays an important role in maintaining health, but also conveys basic values that are of fundamental importance for our social coexistence. Nowhere else are values such as tolerance, discipline, health and, above all, the principle of fair play exemplified as consistently as in sport. Doping calls these fundamental values into question. Doping contradicts the principle of fair sporting competition and endangers the health of athletes. In addition, athletes fulfill a role model function for young people that should not be underestimated, which is destroyed by doping, as is the positive image of sport.

The FEDRATION INTERNATIONALE DE SKIBOB is therefore vehemently opposed to all forms of doping, is committed to the WADA Code and the international anti-doping regulations and supports all initiatives to combat doping.

The fight against doping has unfortunately become one of the biggest challenges in international sport. It is simply necessary to take consistent and tough action against doping in order to preserve the credibility of sport and its role model function. Not only in the interests of the sport, but also in the interests of future winter sports generations.

Combating doping

Each national federation is obliged to include the provisions and regulations of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in its statutes and/or competition regulations and to recognize the anti-doping regulations of its nation. The use of unauthorized substances and the use of prohibited methods according to the WADA doping lists are prohibited for all athletes participating in FISB competitions.
